We are looking for an experienced science manager to join the Cawthron management team based in Nelson, reporting to the Chief Executive. The Aquaculture & Biotechnology Group Manager leads a research group of more than 40 scientific staff who provide aquaculture and biotechnology research and consulting services. We work in partnership with the marine farming industry, local government, other research organisations and a range of other business and environmental stakeholders.

Suitable candidates will hold a post graduate science degree, preferably in marine science or biotechnology. You will have extensive experience and be well connected in the research, consulting, marine environment and primary industry/seafood sectors.

This is a senior role in New Zealand's largest independent not-for-profit research organisation with a record of 90 years of science for New Zealand. It is an opportunity use your science and commercial expertise to lead a world-class team, and work with a range of clients.
